Entry Requirements
This course has been designed for students with experience of, or seeking management careers in, a wide range of consumer orientated organisations.
These include Banking and Finance, Airlines, Hotels and Restaurants, Tourism and Travel Services, Spa Services, Communications and Advertising, Telecoms, Retailing and Store Management, Transport Services, Medical Services,
Conventions and Exhibitions.
Applicants should have sufficient motivation to benefit from the course, based on an understanding of what it involves, and should demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attributes required to
fulfill its demands.
Evidence of this may include an honours degree or other accredited qualifications which include units of marketing or mature academic knowledge and skills obtained by examination through the Chartered Institute of Marketing or demonstrable experience at a senior management level.
Applicants should also have a keen interest in marketing and services as well as basic numeracy and computer literacy.
For students whose first language is not English, evidence of an ability to express themselves in written English to a standard of IELTS (academic) 6.0 or equivalent will be required.
Applicants should confirm their ability to study at postgraduate level by presenting evidence of previously obtained qualifications with evidence of marketing content or appropriate achievement in the Chartered Institute of Marketing examinations (holders of the CIM Diploma may
request exemptions from some taught units) or a portfolio of achievement as a senior marketing
manager, plus references from employer, appropriate performance at interview.
